Torey Mill (She/Her)
Program Manager
Torey Mill (She/Her) is the Manager of Engagement and Development for Athlete Ally, a nonprofit organization that works to dismantle the systems of oppression that isolate, exclude and endanger LGBTQIA+ people. In this role, Torey manages the organizations' growth strategies and works to engage corporate partners and the public through campaigns, events, and outreach.
Prior to joining Athlete Ally, Torey worked in the environmental conservation field for several years, serving as the Program Manager for the Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts, as a liaison between the Montana Association of Land Trusts and the US Department of Agriculture, and as the Communications and Program Associate for People and Carnivores, a Montana-based nonprofit that works with private landowners and community groups to prevent human and livestock conflicts with grizzly bears, wolves, and cougars in the Northern Rockies.
Torey has worked in various educator roles, serving as a wilderness therapy guide at a program for youth on the Big Island of Hawaii and as an instructor and Program Coordinator for a high school tutoring company based in Boulder, Colorado.
Torey graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Science, Technology and Society—a multidisciplinary field that uses methods and concepts from the humanities and social sciences to study how politics, economics, and cultural values shape—and are shaped by—technology, scientific innovation, and medicine.
